Over two decades after her tragic death, Selena Quintanilla will finally be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The star will be situated at 1750 Vine Street in Hollywood, fittingly, right in front of the Capitol Records building.
Born in Texas in 1971, the Tejano singer broke barriers in the music industry for Latina women and paved the way for a new generation of musicians. Quintanilla was a latino singer-songwriter, who was shot and killed by a former employee in 1995. She was 23. Jennifer Lopez portrayed the artist in the 1997 movie, Selena.
She received the 2,622nd star on the Walk of Fame.
We will love forever….
